They have information, restrooms, and many have wireless Internet for checking email.

This picture is from a recent trip at the rest area in Colorado County, Texas, just outside Columbus. You can see the prominent display of the Texas flag on the west bound side of Interstate 10. One also flew over the east bound rest area, where I was standing to shoot this photo.
